Sadly Harvey passed away on the 9 February 2009. Harvey was wonderful; he slotted into our routine so easily right from the beginning and there is a big hole in our lives now. The stair lift was mastered in no time at all - he sat on it like a real little pro and stepped off at the top! His coat had got very shiny and curly and the bald patch was clearing up nicely.  He was looking very smart indeed! I believe Harvey enjoyed his time with us.  He loved snuffling around in the garden and his navigation was extraordinary;  he would set off out of the back door, do some exploring there, then head for the back gate out into the bigger bit of garden, then round to the front of the house.  The amazing part was that he would then come back without any help, right to the back door and back into the house - such a clever boy. We have buried Harvey out in the garden by the wall with branches of a lilac tree above, so he'll have pretty flowers in the spring.  We'll have a nice plaque done for him to put on the wall by his head. We are so glad that we had him in our lives, just sorry that it was such a short stay.
