Our Future Plans

The MSPCA have many ambitious plans for the future. It is important that current facilities are maintained and where it is financially feasible develop new facilities and expand the ability of the Society to help animals at risk and promote the welfare of animals on the Island. Two significant initiatives are highlighted below.

Enclosed Dog Training Area

The dog training initiative involves building an enclosed area that can be used to provide dog training classes and special sessions for the public. This can be used as a means to generate some funding and more importantly to encourage the correct treatment of dogs by pet owners. The area would also be useful for exercising dogs when wet weather makes exercising the dogs uncomfortable for dogs and volunteers alike.

Deep Pool for Seals

The first plan is to finish the deep pool area for treating seals. As you can see from the photo on the right, the main construction is already in place, but it is estimated that it will cost in the region of £14,000 to complete. This funding will have to be secured by the Board.

If you or your organisation can assist in sponsoring either of these initiatives please contact us at the number above.
