Are You Ready for a Cat?

Adopting a cat is a big decision. One that shouldn't be taken lightly.

Why? Because cats and all pets are living beings who require lots of time, money and commitment. Pet ownership can be very rewarding, but before you decide to adopt a pet from the MSPCA, think about these questions:

  • Why do you want a cat?
  • Do you have time for a cat?
  • Can you afford a cat?
  • Can you have a cat where you live?
  • Are you prepared to cope with special problems a cat can cause?
  • Will you be a responsible cat owner?
  • Are you prepared to keep and care for the cat for its lifetime?

Only you can answer those questions, but we can help as we double-check the answers during a personal interview and a home visit by a MSPCA representative.
