Reporting Cruelty

Each of us has the ability to make a meaningful difference in the lives of neglected and abused animals. By reporting cases of suspected or known animal cruelty / neglect, you are offering defenceless animals protection and a second chance. You may also be helping other current and future victims.

Abuse is often an early indicator or first step towards increasingly violent behaviour and the abuse of other human beings. People who abuse animals may harm their partners, spouses, children, the elderly and others.

To reduce all forms of cruelty and encourage a more compassionate society, everyone should be on the alert for all forms of cruelty / neglect and violence. If you suspect cruelty / neglect, call or email us  We may be able to help.

In a typical year, the MSPCA receives and collects some 1,600 animals and deals with 200 animal welfare complaints. Animal rescues are a major part of the Society's work. Injured birds, stranded seals, abandoned dogs and helpless cats are examples.
